City of Mertzon issued the following announcement on Jan. 1.

4. Public Comments

Persons wishing to address the Council will be called at this time. Speakers must sign up on provided list before meeting begins. Speakers are limited to three minutes and may not utilize the time of other speakers; remarks that attack the character of employees or Council members are considered out of order

DELIBERATE, CONSIDER AND/OR TAKE ACTION ON ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

5. COUNCIL MEMBER APPOINTMENT 

 (a) Appoint a new council member to fill empty councilman seat, left open after Councilman Belcher’s resignation.  

6. EXECUTIVE SESSION

The City Council reserves the right to adjourn into executive session at any time during the course of this meeting to discuss any matters listed below. (a) Subject to Section 551.072 of the Texas Government Code; consultation with an Attorney. (b) Section 551.072 of the Texas Government Code; deliberation regarding real property.  

7. OZONA CABLE 

 (a) Discuss Ozona Cable wanting to install equipment on top of standpipe.

8. WATER AND SEWER RATE INCREASE

 (a) Discuss raising water and sewer rates. 

9. PERSONNEL POLICY 

 (a) Second review of new personnel policy. 

10. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORT

(a) Approval of minutes.

(b) Review/approval of financial documents.

(c) Other announcements.

11. DAILY OPERATIONS UPDATE

(a) Updates on daily operations.

12. ITEMS FROM THE COUNCIL

(a) Items for future agendas.

(b) Other announcements.

13. ADJOURNMENT
